Accessibility Statement

weHuddle is committed to ensuring our platform is accessible to everyone.

Our Commitment

weHuddle strives to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. We believe that everyone, regardless of ability, should have equal access to mental health resources and community support.

We continuously review and improve our platform to address accessibility barriers and ensure a positive experience for all users, including those who use assistive technologies.

Accessibility Features

  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard
  • Screen reader support — semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and live regions throughout the app
  • Skip-to-content link — allows keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation
  • Visible focus indicators — clear focus outlines on all interactive elements
  • Sufficient color contrast — text and UI elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios
  • Resizable text — layouts remain functional when text is scaled up to 200%
  • Reduced-motion support — animations are disabled when the system preference is set
  • Form labels — all form fields have explicit, programmatically associated labels
  • Progress indicators — loading spinners and progress bars announce state to assistive technology
  • Modal dialogs — focus is trapped inside modals; Escape key closes them

Standards & Conformance

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This includes guidelines for perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness.

Our platform is regularly reviewed using automated tools and manual testing, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing with VoiceOver and NVDA.
